Carpet cleaning in Pleasant View, for newer houses full of kids and dogs
Pleasant View is a growing Cheatham County bedroom community about twenty minutes south-east of Clarksville on the way to Nashville, a town of commuter households in newer subdivision homes. The carpet is younger than Clarksville's, the owners stay longer, and the calls are about keeping a family home's carpet looking right through pets, children and a lot of rain.
Pleasant View is small, about 4,800 people, and most of its growth is recent: subdivisions of newer homes along Highway 49 and the roads off I-24, bought by families who commute to Nashville or to Clarksville and intend to stay. That changes the carpet work. There are fewer move-outs than in the military towns and more maintenance cleaning: the family-room carpet that takes the dog, the toddler and the Friday pizza; the stairs that show traffic lanes first; the bedroom carpet that is still good but has a few spots nobody remembers; and the sectional that gets more use than any floor in the house.
Newer carpet rewards doing this properly. The nylon and polyester cut pile in a ten-year-old house still has most of its life if the traffic lanes are cleaned before they mat, the spots are treated through the fibre rather than scrubbed into it, and the mill's protective finish is put back after each deep clean. We clean by hot-water extraction for the yearly deep clean and recommend low-moisture cleaning for the muggy months and for the in-between visits, because Pleasant View shares Clarksville's humidity and a damp pad in July smells the same here.
The two other regular Pleasant View calls are pet urine, usually a puppy that was being house-trained in the carpeted bonus room, and tile and grout in the kitchen and baths of the newer homes, where the light grout has darkened in a few years of mopping. Both are handled on the same visit as the carpet when that is easier.

Asked in Pleasant View
Is Pleasant View in your regular area?
Yes. It is about twenty minutes from Clarksville and on the same loop as Springfield, with vans there every week.
How often should a family home's carpet be cleaned?
Every six to twelve months with kids or pets, twelve to eighteen without, with a low-moisture clean in between if the traffic lanes show early.
Can you get puppy accidents out of a bonus room?
Usually, if they are on the fibre or in a few spots of pad. The UV lamp and the moisture meter tell us, and we treat accordingly or say plainly if the pad has to go.
Do you clean sectionals?
Yes, by the fabric's cleaning code, with a hair-lifting pass first if there is a dog.
Will the carpet be dry by bedtime?
With low-moisture cleaning, dry in an hour or two. With extraction in summer, six to twelve hours, less with the air movers we leave.
Do you also do the tile?
Yes, and it is often done on the same visit as the carpet, which saves a trip.
