Questions

Plain answers for Clarksville renters, owners and landlords

Insurance and licensing, prices, drying time, method, pets, receipts, the post, wet carpet and what we do not do. Anything missing, call and ask.

Are you licensed, insured or certified?

Insured, yes: the crews carry general liability and workers' compensation, and the certificate is sent on request. Licensed is a different question: Tennessee has no state licence for carpet or general cleaning, so nobody in Clarksville holds one; the City of Clarksville and Montgomery County business licences the city requires are held. Certified: we do not claim any certification we cannot show you.

Is the estimate free?

Yes. The look-over, the inspection with a UV light and moisture meter where needed, and the written price cost nothing. If you go ahead, the work is usually done on the same visit.

What does carpet cleaning cost?

Most whole-home jobs fall between $125 and $500 depending on size and condition; per room it is $35 to $150, and per square foot 20 to 40 cents. A room is up to about 250 square feet, halls and stairs are their own line, and heavily soiled or pet-damaged rooms cost more because they take longer. The cost guide has the full breakdown.

How fast can you come?

Same day for wet carpet, which goes to the front of the line. Same day or next day for most other jobs in most weeks, seven days a week. Tell us if there is an inspection date and we book around it.

How long does the carpet take to dry?

One to two hours for low-moisture cleaning. Six to twelve hours for hot-water extraction in Clarksville's humidity, less with the air movers we leave and with the house opened up on a dry day.

Steam or dry cleaning?

Steam, meaning hot-water extraction, for deep soil, traffic lanes and anything with pets. Low-moisture for lightly soiled carpet, fast turnovers, offices and the muggy months. The technician recommends one on the look-over and explains why.

Can you get pet urine smell out?

Surface deposits and fresh accidents, yes, with enzymes and extraction. Urine in the pad needs sub-surface extraction, and a saturated pad has to be replaced; cleaning the carpet on top will not fix it. We inspect first and tell you which case you have.

Will you give me a receipt for my housing inspection or landlord?

Yes, on every move-out and turnover: dated, itemised, with the address, the rooms cleaned, the method and the technician. If your housing office or landlord needs particular wording, say so when you book.

Do you work on Fort Campbell?

We clean in on-post and privatised housing when the resident arranges access the way the housing office requires. We are a local company with no official arrangement with the installation; we know what its clearing inspections look for and clean to that standard.

My carpet got wet. Will you come today?

Yes. Stop the water, get furniture up, and call. We extract, lift and dry or replace the pad, and get air moving. We dry carpet and pad; we do not do wall and structure restoration or mould remediation, and we say so.

Do I have to move furniture?

Small items, breakables and anything on the floor, yes. Sofas, chairs and tables we move where safe and clean around where not; beds and dressers are usually cleaned around. The quote says which.

Can you fix ripples instead of replacing the carpet?

Almost always, if the backing is sound. Power stretching pulls the carpet tight again in an afternoon for a fraction of replacement, and burns and chewed corners are patched from an offcut.

Do you clean rugs, upholstery and tile too?

Yes: synthetic rugs in place and wool rugs washed off-site, sofas and mattresses by fabric code, and tile and grout scrubbed, pressure-rinsed and sealed.

Which towns do you cover?

All of Clarksville and Montgomery County, Fort Campbell housing, Oak Grove and Hopkinsville in Kentucky, Woodlawn, Springfield and Pleasant View, with the rural parts of the county when the schedule allows.
