Wet carpet in Clarksville has about a day before it starts to smell. Call today.
A split washer hose, a water heater that let go, a storm drain that backed up, a toilet overflow: the carpet is soaked and the pad under it is a sponge. We extract the water, lift and dry or replace the pad, and get air moving across the floor, the same day, seven days a week. We dry carpet. We do not do structural restoration or mould work, and we say so up front.
Clarksville gets about 51 inches of rain a year, more than most of the country, and the summer humidity means a wet floor does not dry on its own. Add the plumbing failures every town has, and wet carpet is one of the most common calls we take. The clock matters. Carpet that was clean water an hour ago is a damp pad that smells by tomorrow and a bigger problem by the weekend, which is why a soaked room goes to the front of the line and why the first-48-hours guide tells you what to do before we get there: stop the water, get furniture up on blocks or foil, pull back anything you can lift, and get air moving.
On arrival the technician finds out what kind of water it was, because that decides everything. Clean water from a supply line, a water heater or rain through a window is carpet we can extract, dry and keep. Grey water from a washer, a dishwasher or a tub drain can usually be cleaned and dried with the right treatment. Water from a sewer backup or a flooded creek is a health matter: the carpet and pad come out and are bagged, the subfloor is cleaned, and that is as far as our work goes. For the first two cases, we extract standing water with a truck-mounted unit, pull the carpet back from the tack strip to reach the pad, measure the moisture, and either dry the pad in place with air movers and a dehumidifier or, where it is saturated, cut it out, dry the carpet, and re-pad and re-lay it. Then the carpet is cleaned, an antimicrobial deodoriser is applied, and the room is checked dry with a meter rather than by feel.
Two honest limits. We are a carpet cleaning company: we dry carpet and pad, and we clean the subfloor beneath them. Wet drywall, cabinets, insulation and anything behind the walls is restoration work for a restoration contractor, and we will tell you if that is what you are looking at. And Tennessee treats mould remediation as its own regulated trade; if we find growth, we tell you and stop, we do not pretend to treat it. Within our lane, we document the job with photos and moisture readings for your insurer if you want them.
What the visit includes
Same-day for soaked rooms
Wet carpet is the priority call, seven days a week, because the pad does not wait for Monday.
Water type identified first
Clean, grey or contaminated decides whether the carpet is saved or removed; the technician says which on arrival.
Extraction and pad decision
Standing water pulled with a truck mount, carpet lifted, pad metered, then dried in place or replaced where it is saturated.
Air movers and dehumidifier
Drying equipment left running across the floor and the pad, checked with a moisture meter rather than by touch.
Cleaned and deodorised
Carpet cleaned once dry, antimicrobial deodoriser applied, tack strip and subfloor checked.
Documented for the insurer
Photos, moisture readings and an itemised invoice on request. Carpet and pad only; walls and structure are a restoration contractor's job.

On the job

Questions about water damage and carpet drying
How fast can you get here?
A soaked room is the first call of the day and jumps the schedule on weekends. Say the water is still standing when you call and we treat it as urgent.
Can the carpet be saved?
Clean-water and most grey-water losses, yes, if the water is extracted and the pad dried or replaced within a day or two. Sewer and floodwater losses, no; that carpet comes out for health reasons.
Can the pad be saved?
Sometimes. A pad that is damp can be dried in place with air movers; a pad that is saturated holds water for days and is cheaper to replace than to fight. The moisture meter decides, not a guess.
Do you fix the walls or the floor underneath?
No. We clean the subfloor and dry the carpet and pad. Wet drywall, baseboards, cabinets and insulation are restoration work, and we will tell you plainly when a job has crossed that line.
What about mould?
Mould remediation is a separately regulated trade in Tennessee and we do not do it. If we find growth we stop, tell you, and recommend you call a remediation contractor.
Will insurance cover this?
Sudden plumbing failures often are covered; slow leaks and groundwater often are not. Photograph everything before it is touched, call your carrier, and we provide moisture readings and an itemised invoice for the claim.
